This chapter defines the different security services in the IoT. It presents the most widespread access control techniques. The chapter then defines research on access control in the IoT. This work relates to the adaptation of access control models and the adaptation of access control systems and technologies by considering the characteristics of the IoT. The chapter also discusses adaptation of access control in the IoT. This adaptation is based on an access control architecture and mechanism called IoT‐MAAC (IoT‐Multiple Attribute Access Control) taking account of the different attributes specific to the IoT environment, including the trust level of IoT objects, calculated via a fuzzy logic system. The IoT‐MAAC access control method uses a First Applicable type decision‐making algorithm. %G English %L hal-03901198 %U https://u-bourgogne.hal.science/hal-03901198 %~ UNIV-BOURGOGNE %~ LIB_UB %~ LIB_MODGEOM %~ LIB-COMBINRES
